Good Morning, Again -My - some one's on a roll. First a blog chronicling the Virgens from the last three weeks and, moments later, a second blog with scenes from the new place.
So, let's see. I'm in love with all the windows in our new place. Our Denver place, as a "shotgun" model, had one window in the front room, one window at the other end in the kitchen, and skylights throughout to supplement. The skylights were the saving grace there, but don't hold a candle to the light that comes through windows. I love them.
Here, let me show you. The one above is the little window in my partner's closet. That's how many windows are here - there are even windows in the closet.
Office window. Notice the sunning cat, positioned to watch the hummers come and go from the feeder outside.
Even our front door has a window of sorts (actually, this is a little weird, but, hey, it lets in the light).
Front room window. Ignore the moving box still out and focus on the cat in the corner and the view of the front yard.
Another little window - this one in the laundry room.
Bathroom window. Oh, it's nice to have access to fresh air in the bathroom again. As someone who loves to take hot, hot, hot showers, it's imperative I have an outlet for all the steam created.
My Angel, deep asleep. She's been getting up in the middle of the night lately, so it was good that she was able to get some catch-up this morning.
Two of the bedroom windows. If you look closely along the fence, you'll see the bulbs coming up.
Another bedroom window - this one to the backyard and the grill that we hope our landlords forget to come collect for a while. Oh - it's a really, really nice grill. Our friend Lu could do some good work on this grill.
Dining room window. Notice the patio chair, table, and umbrella, with the tarp-covered garden spot beyond. Come summer, the view will be of bountiful veggies back dropping the table and chairs.
Other dining room window. We have a little root cellar, which helps wondrously with storage (tornadoes, too, I suppose).
Kitchen window. At night, I can look across from our kitchen to the kitchen of our neighbor. Cosy and quaint as it seems, this is actually a feature I'd like to remove from our next home. A little space between houses goes a long way.
Living room window. My partner got those pots in exchange for some shed cleaning she did last weekend and is excited about transplanting the seeds starting in the tray on this side of the window in them later. Some of those seeds have started to come up, so she'll be transplanting in no time.
Another living room window. Notice the arm of the hammock in the view. My partner is currently stretched out on said hammock, relaxing.
Autumn and Squeak enjoying the view. Again, ignore the box and focus on the cats. Here's to that. Here's to focusing on what's good. Here's to letting the light in and here's to every room having a view.
