Back in the Saddle Again

Good Morning -

Look at this - another day, another blog entry. Fantastic.

This is going to be quick for a couple of reasons - the pirogis my partner put in the oven to heat up for breakfast are done, and we spent such good, long time together last night, anything we do this morning would be redundant.

So - here's last night's Virgen. As mentioned last night, I baked cookies all day yesterday, which was just what I needed to wrap up a hard-news weekend. Treats completed are: chocolate truffles, toffee, candy cane cookies, German butter cookies, peanut butter kiss cookies, macaroons, and chocolate hazelnut biscotti (or "Italian dipping cookies" as the recipe I found calls them...is that what biscotti are? Fascinating.)

Here's to cookies. Here's to baking therapy. Here's to having the freedom to spend a day in the dough.
